PLDC - The first press conference of Dr. Gharib, Esteghlal's new Managing Director was held yesterday. At the beginning of his press conference, Dr. Gharib talked of the importance of Ethics in developing the basis of our football.

Dr. Gharib, also emphasized on the importance of investing in youth teams of the club. In regards to his plans for Esteghlal and next season he told reporters: "After Roland Koch's departure from Tehran, the need for serious changes in our club was evident. Since then Mr. Pourheydari has taken on the job and he will stay with Esteghlal as the Head Coach for the next season as well. Soon the club management will start working to prepare all the essentials that technical staff would need for the next year." After Dr. Gharib's speech, the reporters asked him questions regarding the future of Esteghlal.

One of the reporters asked Dr. Gharib what his plans will be to eliminate side issues and internal problems that Esteghlal has been facing in the past couple of years? Dr Gharib told reporters that: "Popular clubs usually always get into issues from within and with the right plans we will do our best to eliminate all these."

The 'Esteghlal Javan' newspaper reporter asked: "Keeping the club up to date with the modern football is a difficult task. What are your plans to keep Esteghlal up to date with world class football?"

Dr. Gharib: "This has been one of the main issues in our club football and by bringing foreign coaches into our technical staff we will try to solve that as well, but we must realize that these kind of steps will take time to benefit us and it usually fails because of our own ways of approach to the game."

Another newspaper reporter asked Dr. Gharib why the club insists in keeping Mansour Pourheydari while Pourheydari himself has indicated that he is not very enthusiastic about coaching Esteghlal again? In response to this question Dr. Gharib said: "Because of the amount of love and interest that he has in Estehglal and his experience we have decided to bring him back, and I assure you that if he wasn't interested he would not have accepted the offer."
