MiddleeastFootball - Three weeks of silence finally ended on Monday when AFC chief voiced his position regarding Qatari plans to naturalize foreign players.

“FIFA is the sole party to assess the whole affair,” Mohamed bin-Hammam told Jordan popular daily Addustour.

Jordan, current leaders of World Cup Asian zone Group 1 table standings, are the upcoming opposition side of Qatar when both sides collide in Doha on March 31.

“They will be starting from scratch as I understand,” added the AFC president.

“Breaking new grounds of settlement and compromise for the sake of a healthy stage of the football game at international level will be topping the agenda,” stated bin-Hammam who is on a three-day visit to Jordan.
