IRNA - Iran's Football Federation and the
oil company Iranol, as the sponsor of national teams, signed a contract here
Sunday.
In a ceremony in the Foreign Ministry, central Tehran, the IFF president
Mohammad Daadkan and Iranol managing director Ahmad Mohammad-Boussari inked
the agreement.
According to the contract, Iranol would be the national football sides'
sponsor for two years, which started Nov 22, 2003.
Iranol is the first Iranian company, which officially and financially
supports the country's football teams. Veteran players, coaches, Foreign
Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Assefi, technical officials, national
footballers, and clubs' officials attended the ceremony.
Skipper Ali Daei received a national shirt bearing Iranol logo as the two
sides signed the agreement. |
