IRNA - Mohammad-Hossein Ziaei, former trainer of Tabriz Tractor Sazi and Shahin, was installed as the coach of the capital`s Paykan Monday.

Paykan head Mashallah Latifi told IRNA, "Following Esteqlal clash, the club and Ziaei reached an agreement and he starts work alongside manager Bijan Zolfaqar-Nassab Tuesday."
Playing a crowd-pleasing derby in the 100,000-seater Azadi Stadium Sunday, 10 km west of Tehran, Esteqlal and Paykan were in the driver`s seat in one half each.
Paykan possessed both ball and field in the first half and its striker Mohammad-Ali Ebrahimian stunned the blues, slotting home on 25 and 37 minutes which were responded by Esteqlal forward Ali Samereh who minimized the gap eight minutes after the restart and scored the equalizer in the 58th minute.

The situation was aggravated for Paykan 10 minutes later when Davoud Haqdoust received his marching orders from referee Ali Khosravi.
Amir Qal`e-Noei left fuming after his side Esteqlal was held 2-2 by the 10-man Paykan.
Esteqlal heaped great pressure on Paykan`s woodwork in the last 15 minutes but in-form keeper Mehdi Vaezi and a strike of luck stripped the blues of maximum three points and second position in the table.
The capital`s popular team, Esteqlal, dropped two spots standing fourth with 17 points.
