PFDC - Iranian forward Vahid Hashemian scored his third goal of the season in German Bundesliga, as his team VFL Bochum defeated VFL Wolfsburg by 4-2. Hashemian, who was subbed in after 65 minutes, played a very good match.

In a packing match, Bochum took the lead after only 6 minutes. Colding crossed the ball and Christiansen headed it into the net, marking his 7th goal of the season. However, only a minute later Argentinian forward Klimowicz scored the equalizer after a freekick from former Bayern star midfielder Stefan Effenberg.

Despite the homeside's domination in the following minutes, it was Wolfsburg who took the lead in minute 36. A perfect counter attack over Maric was finished by Robson Ponte. Bochum was shocked but lucky, as Maric's great effort in injury time of first half was saved by Bochum-keeper van Duijnhoven, who was once again in brilliant shape.

After the break, Bochum pushed forward and turned the match within one minute. Fahrenhorst, after a corner kick from Wosz, and Freier, after a perfect assist from Christiansen scored for Bochum. From then on Bochum dominated, but both teams had some good scoring opportunities.

In minute 65. Vahid Hashemian came into play for Buckley, and this substitution soon had an impact on the match. Already after three minutes, Hashemian set up Freier well inside the box, but the effort of the young forward was blocked by the hand of a defender. However, the referee didn't award a penalty.

Only minutes later, Hashemian had a good header on goal after a corner kick, but Rytter was able to clear the ball on the goalline for the beaten goalkeeper Reitmaier. Finally in minute 82., Hashemian headed a Wosz-freekick at the post, but the ball came back to the Iranian forward from a defender and Hashemian had little problems scoring Bochum's 4th goal of the day from short range.

With this goal Hashemian is now the most successful "joker" of German Bundesliga. The Iranian was subbed in 9 times in the 9 matches of this season and was able to score 3 times - more often than any other substitute in Germany.
