PA - Sepahan remain in second place in the Iran Pro League despite being held to a 2-2 draw with Zob Ahan on Wednesday. The Hazfi Cup holders twice came from behind to earn a point in the Isfahan derby as Zob Ahan climbed to 13th place in the table. Mohammed Reza Khalatbari and Mohsen Mosalman scored for Zob Ahan, while Emad Mohammed Reza and Ehsan Haj Safi netted for Sepahan. Esteghlal and Saba Battery shared an uneventful goalless draw in Tehran, while Saipa earned a 2-1 win over Malavan, whose coach Mansour Ahmadzadeh resigned after the defeat. Hamid Jafari scored two minutes from time as Esteghlal Ahvaz snatched a 1-1 draw at Bargh, who had taken a first-half lead through Roohollah Bigdeli. Elsewhere, Sanat Naft beat Peykan 2-1, while Aboomoslem claimed a 1-0 win over Rah Ahan. |
