IRNA – Head coach of Sepahan Football Club Luka Bonacic said his team will not attend the FIFA Club World Cup 2007 in Japan merely as spectators, an Iranian daily said Monday.

Speaking at the Olympic Hotel on Sunday before traveling to Japan, Bonacic said, "We are going to get the desired results in the World Cup. Sepahan represents Iran in the competitions and will fight for victory."
He granted special thanks to the club's officials and assured them that Sepahan will try its best in the prestigious event, 'Iran Daily' reported.

Hoping to face the Urawa Reds of Japan, Bonacic acknowledged that he is interested to play against Urawa once again and proceed to the semifinal game after beating the team.

Sepahan will face the New Zealand's Waitakere United in Tokyo on Friday December 7.

Bonacic told reporters that he knows how the rival team plays.

"I have played in New Zealand over 18 years ago and I have to tell you they play like British players. Waitakere will take advantage of their physical preparedness.

"We can defeat Waitakere and line up for the host team. Sepahan will be able to win the match against Japan's Urawa and advance to the semifinal to play against AC Milan.

"My team is in shape, but using Navid Kia who is always injured is the team's main problem."
The FIFA Club World Cup will take place in Japan from December 7 to 16.
