Queiroz - Kafshian - Amiri Salehi

PLDC - Tehran, Carlos Queiroz met with the Ali Kaffashian (president of IFF) and Reza Salehi Amiri (Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports) today and came out of the meeting with new hope.

After this meeting, Carlos Queiroz said, "Kaffashian made many things clear in this meeting. We had a positive meeting today, and I hope from now on we can make our plans happen... I left this meeting with new confidence and I hope we can have good camps to prepare for the World Cup.

The newly appointed Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Reza Salehi Amiri, also had some words to share and said, "We will support the federation, that has made great efforts thus far, and we also want to show our appreciation to Queiroz."

He continued, "We have analyzed the financial problems, and we have implemented plans to solve these issues, and from now on, Team Melli shouldn't have these problems anymore. With the capacity that the Islamic Republic has, these issues can be solved easily, as always."

Team Melli's camp in Portugal was cancelled twice due to lack of funding. Iran has not yet played a friendly match with its A-squad in 2013. In fact, Iran won its three World Cup Qualification matches in June (Lebanon, Qatar and S. Korea), without even one single friendly match to prepare with.

The only friendly that Team Melli played this year was against Oman in May, which Iran played with its B-squad.
