PFDC - LONDON, Just four days after the memorable 1-0 win over South Korea with Iran, Ashkan Dejagah again could celebrate - this time at his new club Fulham FC.

The Iranian international winger had joined the London based Premier League club from Wolfsburg on the final day of the summer transfer window, but had been sidelined injured so far.

After playing a half for Fulham's reserves ahead of the FIFA international matchdays, Dejagah made the bench for the clash against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.

With both sides being deadlocked, Dejagah came on after 70 minutes and indeed revived Fulham's offensive play with some good runs on the right side.

After combining well with his former teammate at Wolfsburg Riether, Dejagah's good shot won a corner kick which was taken by Riise and met my Baird, who made it 1-0, six minutes from time.

Aston Villa had no response and so Fulham bagged three important points, now standing in eighth position of the table.

Injured Shojaei makes Osasuna squad

Meanwhile Masoud Shojaei has been named in Osasuna's 18-man squad for the fixture against Betis Sevilla on Sunday, despite having suffered a fractured cheekbone in Iran's game against South Korea.

Shojaei, who suffered the heavy injury from an unspotted ellbowing by a Korean before being sent off shortly after halftime, was diagnosed by Osasuna's doctors midweek and will not have to undergo surgery.

It is the first time Shojaei was selected for a La Liga game since returning from a nasty foot injury which had sidelined him for over a year.

Osasuna are in second last position of the table after seven rounds and desperately will need a result from tomorrow's match.

Strong Davari waiting for Iran call

German second Bundesliga leaders Eintracht Braunschweig remain unbeaten thanks to a 0-2 away win daniel-davariin Dresden on Saturday.

Braunschweig's Iranian-Polish goalkeeper Daniel Davari could enjoy his seventh clean sheet in ten rounds.

The 24-year-old has already expressed his eagerness to play for Iran's national team and might well become the fourth player from Iran's diaspora to be invited to Team Melli by coach Carlos Queiroz after Ashkan Dejagah, Omid Nazari and Reza Ghoochannejhad.
