Kabir - A few days ago Farhad Majidi, the former captain and striker of Esteghlal FC, announced his retirement from football. In a statement, he blamed the current managers and coaches of Esteghlal FC for his decision. But the conditions have been changed after the recent meeting with Amir Ghalenoei, head coach of Esteghlal.

Ali Fathollahzadeh, chairman of Esteghlal FC, announced that he has started negotiations with Amir Ghalenoei to convince him accept Majidi’s transfer to Esteghlal during the mid season transfer window. “I have talked with Amir Ghalenoei over returning Farhad Majidi to Esteghlal. He will play for the club in the next midseason.”

“Farhad Majidi was one of the best footballers in history of Esteghlal and we are scheduling to hold his farewell game against a famous European club. We have negotiated with Bayern Munich to bring this giant club to Tehran.” Ali Fathollahzadeh said. Seeing Bayern Munich in Tehran is not a big surprise for Iranians because on January 13, 2006, Abedzadeh had his farewell game, playing for Iranian giants and his former club Persepolis FC in a friendly match against Bayern Munich.
