PFDC - TEHRAN, Sint Truiden striker Reza Ghoochannejhad finally received his player passport from FIFA and will be able to play for Iran against South Korea in World Cup qualifiers on October 16.

This was confirmed by Iran boss Carlos Queiroz in a press conference on Thursday.

Ghoochannejhad, who currently plays for Sint Truiden in Belgium's second division but has already signed a deal with Belgian giants Standard Liege starting from January, had already been a part of Iran's roster twice this year.

However, due to missing papers confirming the Dutch-Iranian having been born in Mashad FIFA's approval was delayed.

The 25-year-old leftfooter could be the much needed boost for Iran's attack, having scored 12 goals in first league last season and already in three second league and one in Belgian Cup this season in overall just four appearances.

Meanwhile Iran's training camp resumed on Thursday with 14 players present.
