Branko Ivankovich: " We didn't have enough time to organize the full squat to play together."

PLDC - The Head Coach of Iran's national team, Branko Ivankovich congratulated everyone for this victory, and emphasized that this victory against New Zealand was the result of the hard work of the entire staff and the players.

Ivankovich added: " I am happy that we could defeat New Zealand a year after the championship in Busan, Korea, and I am also glad that we could make the people happy with this victory."

Ivankovich responded to a question regarding why Ali Daei was not subbed out despite his injury and bad form, by saying: "Daei was not with the team for the past couple of weeks, and in order to get him back to his old form and get him organized with the rest of the team, we had to use him in the field."

Ivankovich also said: " We did not have enough time to reorganize the entire team for this game, but despite this fact, we tried to get result by getting the best players on the field." At the end Branko said: "We must also be thankful to Mr. Shahrokhi for his assistance as the technical manager of the team."
