MALACCA - The Malacca FA are
expected to sign on Iranian coach Bahman Foroutan and two Nigerian pros for
their Premier I challenge kicking off next month.
Malacca FA president Datuk Ibrahim Durum said yesterday that discussions
with the foreigners would be settled within the next two weeks.
“All I can say for the moment is that two Nigerian pros will be attending
trials next week while the Iranian coach, a German resident, is already
having talks with us,” Ibrahim said after the contract signing ceremony for
19 players yesterday.
The FA also received RM300,000 worth of sports apparels from TSB Sports Sdn
Bhd (Admiral) during the ceremony.
The 55-year-old Foroutan left Teheran 28 years ago to study in Germany and
France.
He spent the last four years in Singapore handling Clementi and Jurong
football clubs in the S-League.
