Gulf News - Iranian
Ali Karimi, one of the players lined up for the All-Stars team may not be
available for the Adnan Al Talyani testimonial match.
Karimi, regarded as one of the best players in ball control in Asia, is
presently playing for Dubai's Al Ahli Club. However, Karimi had to be
replaced with Faisal Khalil following a knee injury when he clashed with Al
Nasr's Salah Abbas in the first half of their league match last week.
Karimi is presently in Iran to see a specialist doctor there. He is expected
to be back in Dubai today. "The doctor will decide the extent of the knee
injury and advise him on whether he can play in the testimonial," said an
official from Al Ahli.
