PLDC - Doping tests have been considered for the Iranian Professional League players but it appears that such actions cannot be put into practice for the time being. This is due to the fact that the tests have to be sent
to a laboratory in the city of Cologne in Germany for analysis. Apart from being costly, the returning of the results is a time consuming process which makes it impractical to follow up.

An official of the Physical Education Organization (PEO) has commented that the head and the staff of the Iranian Olympic Committee were struggling against this terrible phenomenon and he hoped that their efforts
would bear fruit soon. It has also been mentioned that setting up a testing laboratory in Tehran or another city in Iran is not possible for the present. The responsible officials are trying to make this a reality within the next few months.
