PLDC - Naser Ebrahimi, Persepolis assistant coach, spoke in short press interview recently. He commented, “Apart from the other teams, the league teams have one other tough opponent and that is the pitch. The present football fields are all substandard and unusable and playing on them is dangerous and tough for the players.”

“Most of the stadiums are 30 to 50 years old and need upgrading but we are forced to play in them. The media and press continually speak of traditional coaches and methods but they don’t see or write about our traditional and substandard facilities. Check out the stadiums and see how bad they are. The corridor ceilings leak water, most of the changing rooms and facilities are in ruins and out of order.”

“We can’t walk on the pitches and we still don’t have one standard field but we claim to have a professional league.”
