"Al Wasl not an interesting choice: Kavianpour" 
Former Persepolis midfielder Hamed Kavianpour who was not in the 
lineup of the UAE's club Al Wasl in its last match said: "Al Wasl was 
not an interesting choice because off-the-field problems have 
overshadowed the club's performance." 
-- KHABAR-E VARZESHI 
"Mehdi, Afshin bury the hatchet in our birthday party" 
Mehdi Hashemi-Nassab and Afshin Peyrovani, former teammates in 
Persepolis, at last bury the hatchet promising to put aside their 
differences in Wednesday's 6th establishment anniversary of sports 
daily, Khabar-e Varzeshi.

"Branko, a third-grade coach: Ebrahimi" 
Persepolis Coach Nasser Ebrahimi said the Croat Head Coach of 
Iran, Branko Ivankovic, is a third-grade trainer who has signed a

Two Bundesliga-bound players of Iran, Mehdi Mahdavikia and Vahid

World number ones Lleyton Hewitt and Serena Williams have been

"Real wins World Club Cup" 
European champion Real Madrid beat Olympia of Paraguay 2-0 to 
win the World Club Cup for the third time on Tuesday, bringing to an 
end a poor run of results this season.

"Iran's full contact teams due in Tanzania" 
Iran's Martial Arts Federation announced that the country's full 
contact team will depart Tehran on December 14 for Tanzania to take 
part in Africa contests.

Alireza Heidari, Mohammad Talaei, and Mehdi Hajizadeh, world

In the sixth week of Iran Pro League, visitor Persepolis -- 
depleted as Karim Baqeri, Ali Ansarian, Sohrab Entezari, and Mehdi

do a hard task in its clash against Esteqlal of Ahvaz.

Dimitry Slav Nikolov, head coach of Iran's national weightlifting 
team, said the +105 kg lifter Hossein Rezazadeh stole the show in the

Games in Athens.

Baggio to a substitute and he himself inherited the captaincy. 
Juventus skipper Del Piero now has the final say in Juventus and

Asian Wrestling Confederation (AWC) President Jang Kim invited 
former head of Iran's Wrestling Federation (IWC), Amir-Reza Khadem, to
go to Syria to watch the freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling bouts of 
the Third Asian West Asian Games.

Manager of Persepolis Club Akbar Ghamkhar said: "We are looking
