PLDC - Peykan of Tehran occupies the one
but last (13th ) place in the Iranian Professional League table. Bizhan
Zolfagharinasab, head coach of Peykan, has said that the club intends to
purchase three South African and
one Brazilian player for the club before the midseason break. He added,
“The worries of the Peykan chairman over the weak results gained by the
club recently is natural and no one else is happy either. Therefore the
club intends to change the overall policies with the aim of improving the
results.”
“Apart from the fact that the results have not been good, the team’s
overall performance has also been weak so far. Getting two points from
four matches is not acceptable. The recent failure of Peykan has no
specific reason. Ups and downs in football are another interesting aspect
of the game. We mustn’t forget that some teams have been luckier than
others and still others have not got suitable results despite good
coordination and acceptable performances.”
“If the present trend of bad results continue in Peykan due to lack of key
players (disabled due to injury), then changes in the team will be
inevitable.”
