PLDC - Abdolhossein Edalati Sarayani

PLDC - Ansarifard, Head Coach of the Iran's National Futsal team complained, "Iran was not represented in the Futsal commission and the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) has violated Iran's right to participate in choosing the Best Player of Asia Award."

Mohammad Hassan Ansarifard in an interview with ISNA (Iranian Student News Agency), made his assessment on the 4rth Asian Futsal Competitions saying, "The quality of the competition matched international standards and was very good. Most of the teams such as Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan and Thailand all had training in countries like Russia, Spain, Brazil and other European nations; thus they entered the competitions in top form."

Ansarifard also commented on the quality of the pitch, saying, "The quality of the fields were below international standards and for this reason Iran's first game against Uzbekistan was very difficult because the players were not able to properly perform technically.

It was due to this reason that teams were able to present an effective defense against us; for example, teams like Kyrgyzstan and Japan gave us much trouble. However, in the end, we were able to prove ourselves champions for the fourth time."

Ansarifard further talked about the complaint made to the World Federation in regards to Piramon being named Best Player, explaining, "This problem must be addressed by the Football Federation. When a player is named Best Goal-scorer in four rounds of competition, naturally, that player should be named Best Player. Unfortunately though, Iran is not represented in any of the commissions and so they are under the influence of countries like Japan, Thailand and Korea. This problem lead to an Iranian player being denied a title that should rightfully have been his."

Iran's Futsal Head Coach also talked about hosting the 2004 Futsal World Cup. He said, "Countries such as Bahrain and Brazil may be candidates for hosting but taking into consideration Iran's large Futsal fan base and that FIFA considers Iran the foundation of Futsal in Asia, I believe we are the best and most likely candidates to host the event."
