PLDC - After the 3-2 defeat of Esteghlal to Sepahan Isfahan in the third week of the Iranian Professional League, Moharam Navidkia (Sepahan player who scored the winning penalty for his team and was one of the best players in the game) commented about the match in a press interview, “I had no stress and no fear. Scoring the penalty was easy for me. It was a piece of cake. You won’t believe how easy it was.”

“I owe my penalty scoring ability to the National Team. I scored my first penalty against Iraq and since then I have scored five penalties for the National Team and I am satisfied with this. We were ready to defeat Esteghlal. The first half was really great but we played a little weakly in the second. We were better than the hosts and we had control of the center of the field.”

“I don’t know why we pulled back in the second half. Kazemi had told us not to do this. In the 90 minute we made up for it. I don’t what has happened to Esteghlal. They could not even control the balls they sent to each other. If they go on in this way they’ll surely fail.”
