MNA - Former Persepolis and Iran’s football coach Ali Parvin predicted on Monday a grim future for the country’s football.

Speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony for Steel Azin’s qualification in Iran’s Professional League, the former Persepolis legendary player said, “We saw plenty of turmoil in last season of Iran’s football. Numerous players criticized their coaches and slammed their teammates.”

“Many coaches were involved in altercations and they made accusations regarding each other in newspapers. I believe this situation will definitely hurt our football,” he added.

Persepolis football ex-coach slammed the club’s officials for appointing Nelo Vingada as their coach. He pointed out, “Vingada was not up to standard. We have to bring a foreign coach to learn from. We spent money in a wrong way.”

Parvin is one of the most famous footballers ever to play in Iran, and is regarded as one of the country’s best.
