Ahli senior football team and the reserve team leave for a 16-day training
camp to Germany today.
The camp will be held in Nuremburg under coach Juricic Srecko. Colonel Obaid
Saeed, Member of the club's board directors, heads the delegation to
Germany.
He will be accompanied by Mohammed Ahmed Hamdoon, manager; Mohammed Radwan
and Ranko assistant coaches; Abbas Ibrahim, goal keeper's trainer and 35
players.
Eight players are missing. Iran's Ali Karimi will be absent due to his
commitment with the Iranian Olympic team, preparing for the Asian Games in
Korea next month.
Salim Khamis, Abdullah Shah, Hasan Ali Ibrahim, Mohammed Qassim and Faisal
Khalil are with the UAE Olympic team training in Sweden for the Asian Games.
Adel Abdul Aziz and Issa Murad have undergone surgery and need time to
recover.
Al Ahli's senior team will play several warm up matches during the training
camp in Nuremburg.
The second stage of the training camp will be held in Cairo from August
17-28, where they will play four warm-up matches with the leading Egyptian
teams.
