Dinamo Zagreb coach
Miroslav Blazevic has threatened to stand down after a drunken band of
supporters turned on him and watching Croatia striker Davor Suker during a
pre-season friendly. "This is terrible. I might even quit," he declared. Around 100 Zagreb fans known as the Bad Blue Boys upset Blazevic with their abuse during the game in Austria against Czech champions Slovan Liberec. Dinamo president Mirko Barisic had tried to placate the fans by paying their entrance to the ground. But they went on to invade the pitch, fight with police and even tried to steal the ball. Following the match, former Zagreb star Suker found his car spat on. "I don't know what to do," said Blazevic. "But Suker said I must not leave because it is not my problem." |
