PLDC - Ali Samereh, the Iranian National and Perugia player has said that he will probably go back to playing for Esteghlal next year.
In a television interview he stated, "There is only one month left on my Perugia contract but no one has spoken to me about extending it so after my contract runs out I plan to speak with the officials of Esteghlal to try play for them again."

Ali Daei has spoken about the specifics of his contract with Al-Shabab of Emarate.
In his television interview he said that his contract with Al-Shabab is for two years and that he will officially be a player of Al-Shabab in late July (the begining of Mordad). He also stated, "At this time I cannot disclose the other details of my contract."

Mansour Pourheidari, former Head Coach of Esteghlal has blamed Esteghlal's lack of clinching the title one marginal issues.

Upon bringing up the issue of his resignation said, "To this momement I still cannot give a sufficient explanation for this failure except to say without hesitation that I blame myself and for this reason I don't have the intention to sit down on Esteghlal's bench as its coach."
