Gulf News - Al Nasr demolished Ahli Fujairah 8-1 and qualified for the semifinals of the President's Cup. They will meet arch rivals Al Ahli, who also qualified for the semis after  defeating Emarat club 3-1.
Al Nasr dominated the match at Sharjah stadium from the word go with continuous attacks against the weak Fujairah defence. Moroccan striker Ahmed Bahja, Qazim Ali and Issa Juma lost many scoring chances. Osman Rabie scored for Ahli Fujairah against the run of play in the 20 minute with a right-footer from outside the penalty area.

Only 36 seconds later, Ahmed Bahja, who was brilliant yesterday, scored the equaliser for Nasr with a powerful shot that went to the left of Fujairah custodian. Three minutes later Bahja added the second for Nasr following a nice foot work.

He went past four defenders before he shooting to the right of Ali Fairouz. Al Nasr continued to press against the Fujairah goal with Tunisian Maher Kanzari, Mohammed Ibrahim, Qazim Ali, Yousuf Mussa doing a tremendous job in the midfield. They created a lot of chances for their frontliners - Bahja and Issa Juma.

Mohammed Ibrahim scored the third in the 38 minute after showing excellent standard. He went past three defenders and placed the ball to the right of Ali Fairouz.

Ahli Fujairah attempted to attack through Osman Rabie and Mathew, but failed to find the target. In the 42 minute Issa Juma lost an easy chance when he was put through with only Fairouz to beat. But he shot at the keeper's body.

Following the break, Issa made amends for his lost chance by scoring the fourth in 48 minute. Yousuf Mussa crossed from the left and Fairouz missed the ball which went to Issa, whose shot went into the empty net.

Al Nasr's UAE coach Ahmed Khorshid, who replaced Czech Milan Macala, brought in Musslim Ahmed in the 64 minute. The player lived up to his coach's expectations by scoring the fifth from his first touch.

Bahja passed to him and Musslim went past a Fujairah defender before firing in a left-footer to the left of Fairouz. Al Nasr continued to attack while Fujairah defence tumbled and became wide open infront of Nasr attacks.

Issa Juma hit his second and Nasr's sixth in the 71st minute following a long pass behind the defenders. Issa rounded the helpless keeper and shot into an empty net.

Fujairah defender Ali Rashid scored an own goal for Nasr's seventh when he tried to clear a Musslim cross. But Rashid header went straight into his own net beating his own keeper who went out of his goal line to intercept the cross. Walid Murad who came in as a substitute in the last 15 minute, completed the rout by scoring the eighth in the second minute of injury time.

Iranian Ali Karimi continued his brilliance with Al Ahli in the President's Cup, he led them yesterday to beat Emarat 3-1 in the second quarterfinals match held at Khalid bin Mohammed stadium in Sharjah. Karimi scored two goals for Ahli in the sixth and 49th minute, Rasheed bin Mahmood hit the third from the spot in 72nd minute. While Omer Abdul Muhssin scored a consolation for Emarat.
