Tehran, April 9, IRNA -- Striker Mehdi Salehpour of Paykan scored the golden goal Monday against the popular team of Pirouzi, helping his side eliminate the reds and vault into the semifinals of the countrywide league.
Playing on the pitch of Azadi Stadium, the two teams of capital fought to a goalless tie during the normal time.
Paykan that was reduced to 10 men in the 55th minute after referee Masoud Moradi sent off Yousef Bakhshi-Zadeh for two bookable offenses, netted in the fifth minute of the extra time.

Earlier in the day in Isfahan's Bahman 22 Stadium, visitor Esteqlal that ranked third in the Asian Club Championship Friday was held by Zob Ahan in their first-leg match as the Isfahani side with 10 players played well at home.
Mojtaba Hosseini was red-carded in the 50th minute by referee Farajollah Yasrebi.
In the 16th minute, Zob's striker Reza Sahebi missed a penalty as the diving keeper of blues, Parviz Boroumand, sent his shootout out.

In another derby of Iranian league on Monday, Foulad-e Sepahan of Isfahan met Foulad of Khuzestan in the Takhti Stadium of Ahvaz.
In front of over 2,000 fans, the two sides' first-leg clash ended in a nil-nil draw.
Tractor Sazi of Tabriz also hosted the Shirazi squad, Fajr-e Sepassi, on April 8.
Four minutes from the time, Reza Rezaei's winner steered Fajr toward a 1-0 victory over Tractor Sazi.
Attended by just around 8,000 spectators in the 70,000-seater Yadegar-e Imam of Tabriz, the match was judged by Mohsen Qahremani and his linesmen Hassan Karbas-Foroush and Masoud Farahnia. 
Samad Zare' of Fajr was booked in the first leg.
