New Delhi - Iran drew with India TFA White in a league exchange of the under-19, 1st JRD Tata cup international invitation football tournament in Jamshedpur in the newly formed northern Indian state of Jharkhand on Monday.

After a goalless first half, the Iranian team took the lead in the 58th minute. But the Indian team in the 74th minute got the equaliser at the JRD Tata sports complex.

Indian coach Stephen Constantine said he was happy to see his boys coming out with a draw considering that this Iranian team had players who played the final of the under-17 world meet in Argentina.

The 12-day tournament began on Thursday with participation of Iran, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and two teams from India: India TFA White and India TFA Blue.

The final of the tournament will be played on Monday September 22.
