IRNA, The newly-promoted Shamoushak stunned Esteqlal of Ahvaz at home Monday. Playing on the pitch of Takhti Stadium, the team of the northern city of Noshahr struck two to beat the blue-clad Esteqlal 2-1.

Meysam Bao opened the scoring in the 30th minute and Mostafa Mehdizadeh made it 2-0 three minutes before the normal time. Esteqlal pulled one back three minutes into the injury time of second half when Adriano Alloys scored the consolation goal. The blues reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute as Reza Jalali-Sabet was sent off by referee Jalal Moradi for his second bookable offense.

In another match, Persepolis narrowly beat Abu Moslem. Reza Jabbari scored a valuable goal to help Persepolis defeat Abu Moslem here Monday. The striker fired home in the 10th minute, giving the visitor reds a 1-0 victory over Abu Moslem in the second week of the third Iran Pro League in Takhti Stadium.

Rahim Rahimi-Moqaddam refereed the match. Persepolis is the league leader with six points. The popular side of Tehran handed the newly-promoted Pegah of the northern Gilan province an 8-2 surprising defeat in the first week. Here below comes the second-week program on Tuesday.
