IRNA - Esteqlal of Tehran took three points here on Monday as it defeated Foulad of Khuzestan in the 19th week of Iran Pro League (IPL). 
Visitor blues slotted home once in each half to beat Foulad 2-1 in Takhti Stadium of this southern city. 
Following a blunder by Foulad defender Ali Badavi, Esteqlal of Tehran midfielder Farzad Majidi scored the opener in the 13th minute. National midfielder of Esteqlal, Alireza Nikbakht-Vahedi, made it 2-0 on 67 minutes. 
Esteqlal reduced to 10 men one minute before the normal time as referee Jalal Moradi sent off Nikbakht for two bookable offenses. 
Two minutes into the injury time, Behnam Seraj scored Foulad consolation goal. 
Winning 28 points out of 17 matches, Esteqlal of Tehran is at the fourth place of the league table. 
The third-placed Foulad has 30 points of 19 games. 
 

*Sepahan beats Barq at home 

Leader of Iran Pro League (IPL), Sepahan, defeated Barq of Shiraz here on Monday. 
Playing a 19th week match of the league, the Isfahan-based visitor overcame Barq 2-1 in Hafezieh Stadium, Shiraz. 
Veteran striker Edmond Bezik put Sepahan ahead in the 19th minute that was responded by Barq's Jahanbakhsh Ja'fari 20 minutes later. 
Mahmoud Karimi grabbed the winner 8 minutes after the break, giving Sepahan a 2-1 win over Barq. 
Out of 18 matches, Sepahan has collected 38 points and leads the IPL table. 
Barq is at the 10th place with 19 matches and 19 points. 
Referee Siamak Bakhshi judged the match before over 2,000 spectators. 

*Khorramzi steers Fajr past Zob 

Mohammad Khorramzi scored the sole goal of Fajr-e Sepassi-Zob Ahan match, helping visitor Fajr win the 19th week match of Iran Pro League (IPL) here on Monday. 
Khorramzi grabbed the winner in the 14th minute. Fajr was forced to play with 10 players as of the 78th minute when Hossein Fakhri received his marching orders from referee Hedayat Mombini in Fouladshahr Stadium, Isfahan. 
Of 19 matches, Fajr has won 30 points standing in the fourth place. 
The 8th-placed Zob Ahan has 22 points and one match in hand. 

*Relegation-zone Malavan, Abu Moslem tie, underdog Naft stuns Paykan 

Malavan and Abu Moslem, the two bottom-placed teams, fought to a goalless draw and the underdog San'at Naft had a spirit-raising win over Paykan on Monday. 
In Takhti Stadium of Mashhad, Malavan of Bandar Anzali held Abu Moslem 1-1 in the 19th week of Iran Pro League. 
With 15 points out of 18 matches, Abu Moslem is at the 14th (last) place of table and Malavan placed above Abu Moslem has collected 17 points from 19 games. 

In Iran Khodro Stadium, western Tehran, Naft of Abadan beat Paykan 2-1. 
Naft striker Esmaeil Halali converted a penalty in the 35th minute but Hossein Me'mar of Paykan leveled the match 10 minutes later. Naft extracted three points out of the match as Latif Jenami scored the winner in the 83rd minute. 
Assisted by his two linesmen Sohrab Saei and Akbar Kiani, referee Hossein Arab-Boraqi judged the match. 
Paykan is now at the seventh place with 28 points from 19 matches and Naft is the 12th-placed team of the league with 18 points from 19 games.
