Tasnim - Iraqi midfielder Bashar Resan says he is happy to join Iranian giant Persepolis and wants to help the team achieves more trophies.

He joined Persepolis from Air Force in the summer and helped the Reds reach the AFC Champions League semi-final.

“Iranian football is faster and more aggressive than Iraqi football and the league is more organized," Resan told the-afc.com.

"I have been at Persepolis for a couple of months and we reached the AFC Champions League semi-final,” Resan added.

“My aim now is that as the season goes on, I can adapt more to life in Tehran and help the club achieve trophies."

"Persepolis is a big team, not just in Iran, but in Asia too, so titles have to be the goal at a club like this,” the international Iraqi midfielder added.
