Tehran Times - Iran U-17 football coach Abbas Chamanian predicts the match with Germany in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 will be interesting.

Iran defeated Guinea 3-1 in Group C of the competition which got underway in India from Friday.

"The most important thing that we saw was that the players were able to change the game in the second half and produce a result. It was a team effort and whatever plan and tactics we had in store for today worked out well," Chamanian said in the post-match news conference.

“Guinea are a very physical team but I am satisfied with my boys because they showed a good performance,” he added.

"Our strategy is step by step, match by match. This was one challenge and Germany will be another challenge, it will be a very interesting game, no doubt," Chamanian concluded.

Iran will face Germany on Tuesday, while Guinea meet Costa Rica in another match.

The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup is a biennial international football tournament contested by men's under-17 national teams underway in India from Oct. 6 to 28.
