Persepolis   Marko Perovic   Complaint to FIFA

Tehran Times - Iranian football club Persepolis has been forced to pay $40,000 as the overdue payment of former player Marko Perovic.

The Serbia winger, who joined Persepolis in December 2012, scored two goals in 15 appearances in his six month spell at the club.

He filed a complaint to FIFA against the Iranian club after not receiving his payment.

Earlier this month, FIFA banned two of the Iranian clubs Tractor Sazi and Esteghlal from signing new players in the winter transfer window after failing to pay former players.

Persepolis are currently at the top of Iran Professional League table with 50 points from 22 games. They will take on Saudi club Al Hilal in the AFC Champions League group stage match in Muscat’s Sultan Qaboos stadium on Tuesday.
