Tehran Times - Having finished the first half of Iran Professional League 2016-17 season, teams are going to strengthen themselves in the January transfer window.

Persepolis, who has lost Omid Alishah and Ahmad Norollahi to Tractor Sazi due to their military services, wants to sign a couple of players. Persepolis is set to sign Saman Nariman Jahan from Machine Sazi while Mohammad Rahmati and Shahab Zahedi are going to the opposite direction.

Tractor Sazi’s Soroosh Rafiei and Naft’s Igor Prahic are also on the wish list of Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic.

Esteghlal has reportedly a long released list as Alireza Mansourian is not satisfied with most of his summer signings. Arash Afshin has left Esteghlal while Bakhtiar Rahmani, Farshid Bagheri, Mohammad Amin Hajmohammad and Mehdi Rahmati are also surplus to the requirements.

Last season IPL champion Esteghlal Khuzestan has completed the signing of Cameroonian striker Aloys Nong on a six month deal. Nang has previously played for Tractor Sazi, Naft Tehran and Foolad in Iran.

Another Cameroonian striker David Tahnya Wirikom, who has previously played for Rah Ahan and Naft Tehran, has officially joined Padideh.

Relegation strugglers Saipa has made two big signings, Mohammadreza Khalatbari from Gostaresh Foolad and Ayyoub Kalantari from Siah Jamegan. Saipa has also signed 21-year-old striker Mohammadreza Soleymani from Rah Ahan.
