PFDC - Below you can read a recent interview with Javad Kazemian, Al-Ahly’s player that was published on Iran Varzeshi newspaper.

It seems in despite of his brilliant plays at the beginning when he joined Al-Ahli, he is not scoring as much in his recent games.

Q)     Did we call you at a wrong time?  It sounds you we just woke you up.  Shall we call later?

A)     No, I am glad you called.

Q)    Are you getting ready for the practice?

A)     No, currently we are practicing in a camp.  Our practices are twice a day and we will go back to Dubai on Friday.

Q)    Why in a camp?

A)     We did not have any games scheduled and the coaches decided this was a good way of getting into shape.

Q)    What is the reason for the lack of scoring?

A)     You are right but I performed well in a game against Al-Zafreh.  They were very happy about my performances.  But I agree with you, I need to score more goals, after all that is why they are paying my salary.

Q)    We are afraid that you may stay in UAE like other players?

A)     What do you mean?

Q)    You know, they gain extra weight and get out of shape.

A)     Yes, you are right, however the players are responsible to complement their work out with own practices to stay in shape.

Q)    How about you personally?

A)     I do body building during the day.

Q)    What is the situation of Al-Ahly in the league?

A)     We are three points behind the first team.  We hope we can defeat Al-Vasl and get to the first place.

Q)    Tell us about this game.  Are you planning to score in this game?

A)     This is a very important game for us.  Al-Vasl is in 8th place and we should be able to defeat them.  I determine to score a goal so that you do not come after me (with smile).

Q)    Are you joining TM?

A)     We have a game on Tuesday.  I contacted Mr. Faraki and asked him to join the team on next Tuesday night.

Q)    So you are joining the TM?

A)     No, Mr. Faraki did not agree.  He wanted me to join the team on Saturday but Al-Ahy did not agree.

Q)    Wouldn’t you have preferred to play against Denmark as opposed to Al-Vasl?

A)     Of course but that was not to be.  This will give a chance to other players to prove themselves.

Q)    When are you coming to Iran?

A)  God willing I am planning to be there for the New Year.
